We are looking for Operating Theatre Practitioners - Scrub to join the team of staff within the Theatres Department at the private hospital. This is a permanent full time position ( 37.5 hours per week), working a rotational shift pattern between 08.00 - 20.00 Monday - Friday and 08.00 - 18.00 Saturday. This position also requires on call availability. Excellent Salary and career opportunities will be offered to the successful candidate.

Duties of this role include:
Assemble, check and prepare the appropriate anaesthetic, surgical and recovery equipment, drugs and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures incorporating various types of anaesthesia. To ensure the safe care of the patient during their perioperative phase of care
Participate in the 5 steps of the WHO Patient Safety checklists.
The ability to coordinate the use of the supplies and equipment during the operating list and during the immediate post-operative phase of care ensuring the equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner.
Participate in the 5 steps of the WHO Patient Safety checklists.

The successful applicant will possess:
Registered Practitioner with NMC or HPC registration
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills across a range and varied patient case mix and competent across a range of skills (desirable)
ENB 998 and/or mentorship course and/or D32/33/A1 (desirable)
ILS (desirable)
ALS (desirable)
EPLS (desirable)
External Advanced Scrub Practitioner Course (desirable)
